Personality: 

+ Innocent: As the youngest in the Potter family, they all seem to keep Lily fairly sheltered. She knows that there are people out there who are not to be trusted, don't talk to strangers, avoid wandering off, but there are some things that she hasn't quite figured out. No matter how a person seems to act, she feels that someone can always have a second chance. That, in the end, no matter what a person has done to make themselves cold or done something terrible, that doesn't define them. When she was a young girl, she had gotten in trouble --for the first time-- for getting back at her brothers, which led her to asking her father if maybe she was becoming bad. He told her the same thing he'd been told by his god father, that she is not a bad person. There is light and dark in all of us, but what matters is the part we choose to act on, and that makes us who we are. This led to her now seeing it in everyone, because no one is entirely bad. 

+ Light hearted: It is rare to ever see her without a smile, skipping down the halls between classes and stopping to peer out the windows to see if it has started to rain or snow. Which of course, would usually lead to her running out to go play in it and often showing up to class boarding on late and dusted in white snow or with damp hair. If Lily were even spotted moping around, it would definitely be out of character and something genuinely bad would be in the works. 
 
+ Curious: When she first meets someone, she is timid, happy, and does the soft introductions. Be warned though, after the moment she learns your name, she tends to bombard people with questions. This leads to few actually wanting to stay around her, but she wants to learn just about everything she can, including about her friend's.

+ Imaginative: She has one of the more wild imaginations, so she tends to find herself releasing her frustrations or inspirations out on canvas with paint, or charcoal, or about anything art wise. Growing up, she was almost always playing pretend with her brother and her cousins, Hugo and Rose. James wasn't usually the one for pretend with her, but when she could pull her puppy dog eyes at him, she could often drag him along. This led to another one of her traits. 

+ Persuasive: She could just about talk a fish into breathing air with her little puppy dog look. It doesn't matter if she is right or wrong, if she has an opinion that she believes, she could talk just about anyone into believing it. Sometimes, that even goes as far as to lie to convince someone of her point.

+Confident: As of her third year, she'd taken that bit of self motivation from her mother and eldest brother, now she is ready to face the next year as a young woman and stick up for herself without James being there to protect her. Well, outside of Herbology anyway.

- Alert: Sadly, it is hard to find a moment when Lily isn't tense, watching out for nearly everything around her. Due to her cousin and brother being the pranksters growing up, and a rather unfortunate incident with a dog at a young age. No matter where she is, she sits with her posture on edge and eyes darting from person to person.

- Plain: Many would call her average, or normal. There isn't truly something that makes her stand out from her brothers other than that she is the only girl. This causes her to struggle to be on her own path, but she keeps to herself more often than usual now that her first year has passed. If there were a way to try and describe her as out of the box, someone would have found it by now. Many actually tend to pick on her from time to time over it, so she turns to her brother James who usually 'solves' the problem.

- Clumsy: Lily is highly clumsy and tends to trip while turning corners or stumble when she runs. Some people believe it is adorable, but it is usually because of her robes, having asked to buy long ones in some belief that she will grow into them. Her mom tried to convince her otherwise, but that never quite worked out being that she stubbornly said that she knows she will get bigger. 

- Stubborn: Despite being level headed, never try to tell her to do something she doesn't wish to do. She just wants to be set in her ways, and she knows exactly what she wants and when she wants it. 

Background:

As the youngest in her family, she ran about as a happy child being the baby of the group and daddy's little princess. It wasn't that she knew it at first, she loved that her parents gave her so much attention. She grew to look like her mom, which she prided herself in as well, and tried to strive to take after her footsteps. As a young toddler, she trailed after her brothers, following them around just about everywhere and trying to figure out the way they did things. Often of which led to James trying to do things she couldn't do at the time like climbing a tree higher than she could reach, though she never did stop trying. 

One day at a young age when a dog crossed into their yard and had attacked her, it struck fear into her entirely. It was starting off a normal day, she was outside with her older brother James while Al had been napping inside. Her mother wasn't sure about her being out there alone of course, but what could have gone wrong? So both her parents chose to stay inside as long as James watched her. He was just relaxing at the time under one of the trees that shaded their grassy hillside in the yard, and she was in the grass trying to catch the yellow butterflies that came close to her in her tiny hands. But it was when she saw the large black dog thats she had took off in a wobbly run through their yard with a giggle, thinking it was coming to play. 

This was a horrible mistake, the dog took it as an attack and snarled at her, knocking her down and trying to pin her to the grass growing and snapping at her. She'd started screaming, it was going to kill her, that was all she could think, she could only see it's sharp teeth snapping in front of her face. With all that was going on, she couldn't even hear her brother shouting as he tackled the dog off of her. She felt sick, looking up to him as it snarled and clamped it's sharp teeth around his calf, she thought for sure it would kill him. After all, the dog was nearly the size of James. Next thing she could remember was that the dog was yelping and running off, and James was looking to her as she cried and made his way over to her in the grass. 

She was sobbing, there was quite alot of blood running down the side of his leg and it was on his hands, she could feel it on her cheeks as he made her look to him and try to reassure her. The most she could do was wrap her arms around his neck and cry. She could feel him shaking as he pulled her into his arms but she didn't know what to do, she just kept seeing the image of the dog on top of her and blood, which kept making the tears fall. The only thing she could remember after that was her parents running out to them sounding panicked and being pulled away by her mom leaving her brother out there. She kept kicking, wanting to be put down to go to James since he was left out there with their father. 

Ginny had just sighed and held her tighter, petting her hair and whispering softly, "It's okay. It's okay, James will be alright, you need to stay here. Please stay in here with Albus." Lily didn't want to stay there, it didn't make sense to her. She was just a child after all, and Albus was only just waking up asking what was going on. Years later down the road, it still would have felt like nothing more than a dream if not for the scar on her brother's leg to remind her and the way she would freeze up with animals. At about six years old, she'd found out her brother was a wizard now officially, like her parents. Albus would have been next to get it down the line. 

She tried to ask as much as she could about anything, bought all kinds of books to fill her rooms with, despite not being able to understand them at the age she'd gotten them, even things about Hogwarts. She was terribly excited to be there, and constantly pestered her brothers with questions and letters each time they came back. Though, her brother James's owl tended to hate her and try to attack her from time to time when she flew in with his letters in return. She even wrote to her cousin Rose while she was away at school because she missed having her around. Much of the time after they left for school, she'd actually asked and pestered her parents to allow her few muggle friends to come over and stay with her since they were the same age, but it still wasn't quite the same.

When she turned ten, she began getting her bursts of magic which almost always involved her getting in trouble for the drawers being flung across the room unintentionally or the mirror breaking in her room when she had a temper tantrum. Overtime, she began to take more and more interest in wands she had read about and liked to study her father's and her Mother's, sometimes even Hermione had gave her a few hints and tips or let her look over hers. This actually led to a difficult decision in her wand once she had her magic develop, even Olivander wasn't sure what would fit her well until she suggested something.

~Year one: Was sorted into Gryffindor, much to her dismay, since she had hoped for Ravenclaw; though, she was happy to be in the same house as her brother after some kids began to pick on her, which didn't last long after James had a 'talk' with them. After he started flirting with girls often though, she grew to resent him a bit, though she understood they didn't really care for him, they only cared for his last name. It still bothered her that he allowed them to toy with him though, and he simply pretended he didn't care.

~Year two: After her second year, she started to see the old light in her brother. He left behind those games he used to let himself get dragged into by the other girls, it seemed like he really fell in love and even became.. kind? He'd hug her often, and they even got to see their brother Albus with more of the playful teasing by each other like they do at home. Though after a few awkward events (The gender bend, Halloween, and the water fight she hid from) it led her to build a bit more confidence in herself. She stopped caring if people didn't like her or didn't want her to act grown up, she was so tired of acting like a little girl. Finally, she is a teenager, her brother graduated, and now she has a better outlook on how the next year will go.
